OUR PROJECTS
JENGA
Within the school community, we attempted to maximise student participation in the recycling process. Our weekly after-school activity (“you-time” as we call it) was aimed at younger senior school students who wanted to discover and explore ways of recycling plastic waste. Students had the opportunity to sort out bottle caps and bottles, shred them using the bicycle shredder, and experimented with the injection moulding machine to upcycle waste into jenga blocks, which we hope to complete once school opens and donate them to a local school.
PRECIOUS PLASTIC BANGKOK
Recently, we partner with Precious Plastic Bangkok to show participants of our program at school why we have to sort waste to recycle! Students tried out using the shredder and extruder, and made their own cups and bowls out of bottle caps
BICYCLE SHREDDER
Manufacture with help from a local mechanic. Brought into school to engage students in the recycling process. Recycle plastic and stay fit. Adapted based loosely on the blueprints from [ not sure will check ] . We have contacted with precious plastic Shanghai and 'Bope' shop Chiangmai for help. Through this we used for competition with different year groups to encourage waste sorting at home. Shred Pet plastic to donate to temple to produce monk robes
THAI MUSLIM SCHOOL
Our biggest goal for this year is to work with the Thai-Muslim school to host a STEM sustainability day out for year 6-7 students. Through fun activities, we hope to promote and encourage proper disposal waste in the students’ community. Some of our highlights is an upcycling station in collaboration with Precious Plastic Bangkok, water sorting simulation and science experiment.
